Joining Wednesbury Marksmen Rifle and Pistol Club

New Shooters



Air Rifle

If you are interested in shooting air rifles at Wednesbury Marksmen Rifle and Pistol Club, you will need to sign up as an Air Rifle member.

To become an air rifle member, you will need to arrange a visit to our club where you will be guided through the application process. You will need to bring with you a valid photo ID which includes your home address (i.e. UK Driving licence). If you do not hold a valid photo ID which includes your address, please let us know when arranging your visit as we can advise you of other acceptable forms of ID. Once completed, you will need to attend our training sessions which are held on Thursday evenings from 6:00pm to be trained on our range rules and procedures and for our instructors to see you demonstrate good range safety knowledge and good handling of your air rifle. Upon successful completion, you will be able to shoot your air rifle during range opening times on Tuesday – Sunday.



Firearms

If you are interested in shooting firearms at Wednesbury Marksmen Rifle & Pistol Club and do not currently hold a valid Firearms Certificate (FAC), you must first become a probationary member.

To become a probationary member, you will need to arrange a visit in person to our club where you will be guided through the application process and shown around. You will need to bring a valid photo ID which includes your home address (i.e. UK Driving licence). If you do not hold a valid photo ID which includes your address, please let us know when arranging your visit as we can advise you of other acceptable forms of ID. This will take 7 days to process with the relevant authorities. Once completed, you can attend our probationary training sessions which are held on Thursday evenings from 6pm. Your probationary membership lasts for 3 months which you will need to complete a minimum of 8 training sessions with us during this period. Upon successful completion, you will be invited to join Wednesbury Marksmen as a full member for a yearly fee.



Existing FAC holders

If you are interested in shooting firearms at Wednesbury Marksmen Rifle & Pistol Club and you currently hold a valid Firearms Certificate (FAC), you can sign up as a full member straight away.

To sign up as a full member you must arrange a visit to attend our club where we’ll need to see your FAC certificate. You will also need to bring 2 passport sized photos. We’ll guide you through the application process where you’ll become a full firearms member. You will need to demonstrate good range safety knowledge and safe handling of your firearm during 2 sessions on our probationary evenings (Thursday from 6:00pm). Upon successful completion, you will be able to shoot during range opening times.
